       I’m a writer, teacher, and student.

Stephen King is a major influence of mine (You're shaking your head. There's a reason he's cited so often). Other influences include Margaret Atwood, Anne Rice, Elizabeth Hadyon, H.G. Wells, Isaac Asimov, Philip K. Dick, Ursula K. LeGuin, Joanna Russ, and Ray Bradbury.

I’ll drop one more cliché (maybe two): my son made me want to write. After he was born, I knew I could finish a full novel, and I did.

Currently, I'm at work on my eighth novel, a space-opera involving a utopian government and an unlikely group of explorers.
